DxO PureRAW
DxO PureRAW is my top tip for anyone shooting with older digital cameras. This software's lens corrections, detail rendering and denoising are just extraordinary.
I talk about PureRAW a lot on this site and for one simple reason – it can bring old sensors and old lenses back to life, restoring clarity, removing noise and automatically fixing lens distortion, edge softness, chromatic aberration and corner shading.
PureRAW is like a RAW pre-processing tool. It takes your original RAW file, applies DxO's custom lens correction and AI-powered DeepPRIME denoising, then outputs a new, compressed DNG RAW file. This can be opened and edited like any other RAW file by Lightroom, Capture One and other image-editors, with all the RAW color depth, extended dynamic range and editing scope intact, but fully corrected and denoised.
PureRAW is highly effective on modern cameras and lenses, but its effect on older sensors and lenses is remarkable. It genuinely makes old cameras and sensor technology usable again – not just usable, but actually really good, even in today's world.
